Publication day draws close! On the 24th January, the day after Valediction Records is released into the world, I will be at Allerton Library from 2.00pm, doing a reading from the novel, taking questions, and signing copies. I have lost count of the shows I have played over the years as a musician, so I’m very used to standing up in front of audiences, but this is something different, and I can’t deny a degree of nerves about it! Back when I was a kid, Allerton was the new, state of the art, space age library. Many years later, I finally get to step inside. Many of our local libraries are under threat these days, and so I hope we can get a few people along on the day, to support a nervous first-time author and a wonderful institution.
